Profits should never cost lives. Support the Filipino communities as they demand the justice they deserve from Shell!

Shell chose profit over people. Now, the people are fighting back.

“Everything was destroyed. Everything that we worked for was destroyed and we haven't recovered up to this day.” - Arnold, a claimant from Bohol.

In 2021, Typhoon Odette hit the Philippines, changing 8 million lives forever. People like Arnold lost their homes, their livelihoods, and their loved ones. They have done little to cause the climate crisis, but bear its worst consequences.

Meanwhile, evidence suggests oil giant Shell knew for 60 years that fossil fuels cause dangerous climate change, which has roughly doubled the chance of a disaster like Typhoon Odette.

Yet instead of changing course when they learned the truth, they misled the public and doubled down on fossil fuels. They chose protecting their profits over protecting people.

Now, the people are fighting back. Ordinary people in the Philippines are taking Shell to court, demanding justice and compensation for the homes, livelihoods, and lives lost at the hands of Shell. Will you add your name to join their fight?

How the global energy crisis is impacting small islanders in the Philippines

In the first month of the US-Iran conflict, oil giants pulled in an extra $30 million per hour as fuel costs skyrocketed. For fishing communities, fuel costs determine whether they can go out to sea and earn enough to feed their families. As prices rise and supplies dwindle, the margin for survival shrinks.
