Fossil fuels are driving climate change, and its impacts are unfolding in real time all over the world with fires, floods, and storms. The oil and gas companies fuelling these disasters make enormous profits, while ordinary people are left to pay the price for the damage they leave behind.

But a group in the Philippines is saying enough. They lost everything when Super Typhoon Odette hit, and now they are suing Shell for the damage in a landmark case being heard in the UK. If they win, it could mean elite companies like Shell have to pay for the harm they’ve caused.

A fight like this takes courage. You can bet that powerful voices will try to shout down these survivors - but together we can make our voices louder and show the 103 Filipinos suing Shell that they do not stand alone.
